Amy Lautz, MD

Dr. Amy Lautz is a charter member of Milestone Pediatrics, founded in 2022.

Previously, she had the privilege of working with her father at Forest View Pediatrics for 16 years after earning her Doctor of Medicine from The Medical College of Wisconsin and completing her residency at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin.

Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, Dr. Lautz maintains a special interest in newborn and post-NICU care, as well as asthma allergy treatment and health care management.

At an early age, she admired how much her father enjoyed his career and the impact that he had on his patients' lives. She began volunteering at Children's Hospital and working at Forest View as an office assistant in high school to immerse herself in pediatrics as she continued her education.

Now, as a physician, she strives to provide high quality care to her patients by developing trusting relationships in which patients and their families can openly discuss their unique needs and concerns. She seeks to actively involve children in their own health by encouraging them to participate in office visits and educating them about age-appropriate issues. She takes great pride in hearing stories of patients playing "Dr. Amy" at home or asking to come to see her when they are not feeling well.

Her goal for Milestone Pediatrics is to provide excellent care in a welcoming environment with emphasis on the patient-physician relationship and continuity of care. She believes that understanding the big picture of each patient's life and history is essential to help them optimize their health and well being.

Raised in Wauwatosa, Dr. Lautz attended the University of Notre Dame, where she studied pre-med and music performance. She still enjoys playing classical piano.

In her spare time, Dr. Lautz participates in dog agility training and competitions with her Havanese and volunteers as a therapy dog team through Pet Partners.
